Hub 4 : Clarity of legislation and contracts

Partenariat

86% of Québec citizens acknowledge that legislation is difficult or very difficult to read. Yet major effort has made it possible, at certain times, to produce legislation and model contracts with easy-to-understand terms. This has been done in order to democratize legal expression in the cases of the Labour Code, the Consumer Protection Act, the Youth Protection Act, etc.

The purpose of the pilot project is to re-write a piece of legislation that is recognized as technical and complex, or certain nominate contracts in accessible terms close to ordinary language.
